RIYADH, October 27, 2025 Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health (MoH), the Ministry of Investment (MISA), ewpartners have established a US $ 214 million strategic partnership to enhance private sector participation and attract international investment in the Kingdom’s healthcare industry.
The partnership was formalized on the sidelines of the Global Healthcare Exhibition 2025 in Riyadh. It supports the health sector transformation program under Vision 2030, which aims to improve access, quality, and sustainability of healthcare services across the Kingdom.
Minister of Health, Fahad Al-Jalajel said:
“We launched a series of initiatives that have now become tangible realities and I am pleased to announce that during this year’s exhibition, we will witness the signing of agreements and investments exceeding 124 billion Saudi riyals.”
Under this strategic collaboration, the three parties will develop investment opportunities in four priority areas — dialysis services, rehabilitation medicine, fertility and IVF, and medical diagnostics. The partnership aims to expand specialized care, introduce new technologies, and encourage the localization of advanced medical solutions.
The initiative is also aligned with national targets to increase the private sector’s contribution to healthcare delivery from 40 percent to 65 percent, strengthen Saudi Arabia’s global competitiveness in medical services and innovation, and foster knowledge transfer and talent development.
ewpartners was appointed as the strategic implementation partner for its strong expertise in cross-border investment and localization. As one of the first international private equity firms focused on bridging Asia and the GCC, ewpartners is also among the largest independent private equity funds in the region.
Since entering Saudi Arabia in 2017, the firm has built close partnerships with ministries, sovereign funds, and leading corporations. Its portfolio includes landmark initiatives such as the Saudi Cloud Computing Company (a joint venture between Alibaba Cloud and STC), Leshines (Lenovo’s supply chain platform), Sahm Capital, and J&T Express Middle East.
Building on this proven track record, ewpartners is now extending its cross-border investment expertise into healthcare, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing transformation and innovation under Vision 2030. China has rapidly emerged as a global leader in health technology areas such as medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health — offering scalable solutions that can complement Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation agenda. One of the partners in this strategic collaboration, facilitated by ewpartners, is EverLife Healthcare, a leading Chinese nephrology hospital and independent dialysis center operator, known for its nationwide network and proven management model.
Ammar Altaf, Assistant to Deputy Minister of Investment, said:
“We look forward to working with ewpartners to bring leading Chinese healthcare technology companies to Saudi Arabia, together fostering a dynamic ecosystem for medical innovation in the Kingdom.”
Jessica Wong, Founder and Managing Partner of ewpartners, added:
“We are honored to collaborate with MoH and MISA to bring China’s proven healthcare technologies—starting with dialysis, rehabilitation, fertility, and diagnostics—to Saudi Arabia. By localizing successful models from Asia, we aim to accelerate the medical innovation in the Kingdom and improve access to quality care for its communities.”
The tripartite strategic partnership reinforces Saudi Arabia’s ambition to position itself as a regional hub for healthcare innovation and excellence.
